Is it going to be posted?

You may think that it is a bad idea to get a last minute valentines gift posted but you may well be wrong!

You see, places like Amazon quite often offer a gift wrapping and next day delivery service as well as sending the item to the address of a loved one instead of yours (even if they live in the same house it can be gift wrapped and sent directly to them.)

Not only does this look classy and very expensive, it can save your bacon (and has mine on many occasions!) and you don't even have to leave the house.  Just think 10 minutes from now you could have solved your last minute valentines gift problem and come out smelling of roses!

Just remember when checking out of wherever it is you are shopping to make sure they can post in time, it's no fun getting a gift that arrives late...

Is it original / thoughtful

Most people (myself included) would prefer something a little bit different, something a little more thoughtful than the run of the mill as a gift.

Not only does it show that you put some thought into it, it also gives the impression that it wasn't a last minute gift or rushed (even if it was) so if you want to give the impression that a last minute valentine gift wasn't... put a little more though into it.

Is it something I want or my partner / lover wants?

It has been known (for instance) for men to go out and buy completely unsuitable underwear for their partner for a last minute valentines gift rather than something their partner wants.

For instance, there are some men out there who think that buying their wife / lover PVC underwear in shiny black is romantic, when in reality it is them trying to live out their fantasies when their wife or lover would rather have something feminine, lacy and pretty.

You have to ask yourself, who is that valentine gift really for?

Is it perishable?

Here's the thing, you are probably going to think that I am going to warn you against perishable's like food stuff and flowers, but I'm not...

If you are looking for a last minute valentines gift then nobody is going to blame you for buying a bouquet of flowers as late as possible because you want them to last as long as possible.... right?
