How Can I Tell If
My Ex Boyfriend Still Likes Me? The Secret Ways Of
Telling What He Really
Thinks!
Breaking up is always a difficult
time for us. Sometimes it is difficult for both parties,
sometimes only one, but there is always heartbreak one way or
another.
One thing we must bear in mind during
the heartbreak is that no matter how much we may want to
stay together and be with our ex, they might not feel the
same.
This is also
made much more difficult due to the high emotions involved at
the time of the break up. What I am saying here is that we can
often read things into situations and get the wrong end of the
stick because we are highly emotionally charged and a lot of
“wishful thinking” can come into
it.
So, please
bear in mind while you are reading this article that it might
be good to clear your head for a couple of days if it was a
recent break up and take stock of things to make sure you are
being realistic.
You never
know, you might even discover that you don't want to be with
him anyway and it was just the fear of being alone, fear of
rejection or “being the loser” that caused you to want him back
anyway!
Assuming that
you do want him back and you do have genuine feelings about him
and want to know if he feels the same about you then here are a
few tips which might help...
Firstly you
need to bear in mind that boys don't always show their feelings
very well so it can often be very hard indeed to tell if they
do actually have lingering feelings for you.
Think about
when you were together, how did they communicate, in fact, did
they communicate at all? If they found it hard to talk
about their feelings anyway then imagine how difficult it will
be for them to talk about their feelings after a break
up...
With this in
mind then perhaps it is better to speak to other people about
it. I know this may sound crazy but guys often talk to
their friends and family more than they do to
us!
It also
works both ways, they may ask our friends and family about us,
“Is she dating?” “How is she?” and of course he may express
remorse for the break up to his friends and family or say that
he wishes he was still with you.
So, if you
are on good terms with his friends and family it might be a
good idea to slip something into conversation when you next
bump into them. Just don't go stalking them to find
out!
Of course it can also
work the other way around... I once dated a guy for a
little under a year and his mother was putting pressure on him
and I to marry.
Eventually we broke up on good terms and remained
friends but his mother was always calling me and telling me how
he had asked about me and how we should get together etc. when
in reality it was her that wanted it more than both of us, so
be careful of possessive mother in laws!
Then again, if his mother
does mention him in conversation and says he asked about you
then it could be a sign he still has feelings for
you...
Of course
it may even come from him if you suddenly happen to always
“bump into each other” now and again. It might be a
coincidence but it also might be something he planned in order
to see you again... I know I've done it in the
past!
I think the
easiest way of telling is if you can both sit together and talk
about it but I realise that men don't always find that easy so
we may have to resort to running around like headless chicken
always wondering but I want you to bear this in mind
girls...
Always
remember that a man cannot make you whole. A man cannot
complete you. A man cannot make you confident, feel great
about yourself or make you love yourself.
You can
survive and be happy without any man even though you may not
immediately feel like it at the time so search your feelings
and gauge whether he really was the right one for you or you
just didn't like to loose or are simply feeling lonely and
above all be true to yourself and love yourself for who you
are...
